Funeral Services for Arnold will be Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11 am at Zion Lutheran Church of Harbor Beach, with Rev. Matthew Durance officiating Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation for Arnold will be Tuesday, from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. Military honors will be given at the church and at the graveside service at the national cemetery. Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran School-Student tuition Fund or the American Legion Post 197. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com
Arnold is survived by his wife of 52 years: Shirley, children: Chad (Bekki) of Cadillac, Adam (Christy) of Kinde, Ellie (Edward) Gehring of Harbor Beach, Evan (Kiem) of Essexville, grandsons: Dylan, Alexander, Lochlinn, Ethan, Jeremiah, his siblings: Yvonne (Emil) Reinke of Marne, Betty (Tim) Loewe of Temperance, Diana (Laurie) Soper of Rochester Hills, Loren (Deb) Koehn of Palms, Jamie (John) Healy of Harbor Beach, Jeff (Brenda) Koehn of Harbor Beach, many nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law: Gloria Peterson, Janice Weitzel and Marry (Larry) Engel. Arnold was preceded in death by his siblings: Argenia (Mike) Perrine of Minnesota, Beverly (Melvin) Hartz of Port Hope, Carl (Lorraine) Koehn of Clare, Wendell Koehn of Harbor Beach, brothers-in-law: Richard Peterson and Tom Weitzel.
Arnold H. Koehn, age 77 of Harbor Beach, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky. Arnold was born on September 18, 1946 in Harbor Beach to the late Arnold J. and Elda (Koglin) Koehn. Arnold H. and Shirley Peterson were married on December 18, 1971 at Zion Lutheran Church in Harbor Beach. Arnold was an active member of Zion all his life, holding many offices of service. His career involved working for the U.S. Postal Service serving as clerk then Postmaster at Harbor Beach and Port Hope. Arnold served his country in the Army, National Guard and Reserves. He was a Life Member of the AmVets Post 115 of Port Hope serving as past commander. Arnold was also a 55 year life member of the American Legion Post 197 of Harbor Beach. Where he was very active recruiting new member and holding many service offices.
