Kurt is survived by his children M. Ryan (Mary) of Texas and Jessica (Matt) Pereira of Florida; mother Doris McKenzie of Pigeon; grandchildren Freyja, Autumn, Aiden, Lilliana, and Oliveah; siblings Kevin (Starla) of Elkton, Kent (Lori) of Pigeon and Kendra (James) Jickling of Marlette; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Max and infant brother Keith.
Kurt D. McKenzie, 64, of Elkton, passed away, Friday, June 21, 2024 at home. Kurt was born August 3, 1959 in Bad Axe to Max and Doris (Varney) McKenzie. In 1977 he graduated from Laker High School and hitchhiked across the US. He worked as a finish carpenter, including building his own home. He was friendly and enjoyed meeting new friends and old.
