A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Dwight Twp., with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00-10:45 AM, to be followed by a Rosary Sodality service at 10:45 AM. Patricia is survived by her children; Charles D. Drews of Novi, Suzanne (Inocencio) Drews-Diaz of Maine, Jason J. (Carly) Drews of Rochester Hills, and Mindy (Jeff Kaltz) Baffo of Macomb Twp.; brothers Donald (Denise) Rice, Ricky (Kimberly) Rice, Arnold Rice,; sister Margie Szymanski; sisters-in-law Marilyn Rice and Lorraine Rice; grandchildren Nicholas Fichtner, Haley Fichtner, Dominic Baffo, Cason Baffo, Judith Drews, Elyse Drews, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers; Walter Rice, Randy Rice, Gerald Rice; sister in law Patricia Kretchman; brother-in-law George Szymanski; son-in-law Salvatore Baffo, and her special four-legged companion Jesse James.

Biography

Patricia M. Drews, 81 years, passed away on December 26, 2023, surrounded by her family, at her home in Novi, Michigan. She was born on November 5, 1942 to the late Valentine and Bernice (Koroleski) Rice. Patricia married Donald Drews in 1964 and he preceded her in death in 1996 after 32 years of marriage. They presided in Filion. Patricia loved gardening, traveling with her husband, playing cards and Bingo, cooking, walking, shopping, sewing blankets, watching her favorite soap opera, and getting together with family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and the Rosary Sodality, and the American Legion Post #499 in Port Austin, Michigan.
