Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11 am at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 4 – 8 pm or Friday from 10 am until the service time at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to St. Jude’s or University of Michigan Cancer Center in Ann Arbor. Family of the Deceased

Peanuts will be so very missed by his wife of 50 years, Jackie, son Gary (Michelle) Jr. and daughter Michelle (D.J.) Whiteside, his four beautiful grandkids, Tyler Blackstock of Davison, Alexis Blackstock of Essexville, Myra Whiteside of Fishers, IN, and Elijah Whiteside of Haslett. Also, his siblings, Shirley Bland, Sue Babb, Linda Gucwa, Carol Farver, Jane Blackstock, Ed Blackstock, Jim Blackstock, Mark Blackstock and Gloria Shuff. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Blackstock, brothers, Dale and Bill Blackstock and his sister, Mary Prill.

Biography

Gary Lee “Peanuts” Blackstock, Sr., age 69 of Bad Axe, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor with his family by his side. He worked at Huron Castings, Tower and 26 years at Chrysler in Warren. Peanuts was an electrician by trade. He loved, loved, loved golfing with his buddies and did so every chance he got. Peanuts was a good guy that would help anyone if he could.
