She is survived by two daughters: Linda (Gary) Buchholz of Harbor Beach and Jane (James) MacDonald of Fort Gratiot; four grandchildren Holly (Dale) Cook, Tyler Buchholz, Ariel (Ronald Allen) MacDonald and Cameron MacDonald, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Ruth Akers and Dorothy Duncanson, and infant brother Herbert.

Biography

Margaret Elizabeth (Frindt) Sanner, 98, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 after a short stay at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. She was born in Harbor Beach on July 25, 1924, the daughter of Paul H. and Emma (Knappe) Frindt. She married Gordon A. Sanner on October 5, 1957 in Harbor Beach, Michigan. He preceded her in death on December 19, 2018. Margaret attended Schulte Country School and graduated from Harbor Beach High School in 1943. She had been employed by The Mihlethaler Co., Huron Milling Co., Harbor Beach Community Schools, and Biroscak Hardware. Margaret was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ladies of Zion, and Port Hope Retirees. Margaret enjoyed excellent health and lived a full life. She was adventurous and in her last years she tried sushi, went wine tasting, and even attended a drag show with her daughters and granddaughters. She loved playing computer games and spending time with her grandchildren. She led many family traditions including making taffy every year and somehow winning almost every hand of cards.
