Funeral Mass for Karen will be Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, of the Holy Apostles Parish, with Fr. Robert Kelm officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at SSPP Church Cemetery. Visitation for Karen will be on Thursday, from 2-8 pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. She is survived by her children: Steven (Sandra Valle-Holdwick) Holdwick of Warren, Susan (Ken) Small of Sterling Heights, Vicki (Sean) Anderson of Warren, Jennifer (Nathan) Campbell of Ruth, grandchildren: Sara, David, Tom, Candice, Katana, Justin, Allison, Trevor, Monica, Lindsey, Ashleigh, Alyssa, 3 great grandchildren: Piper, Maggie, Dylan, her siblings: Judy (Don) Artman, Rita Scrase, Kurt Essenmacher, Cheryl (John) Waskin, Gordon (Bonnie) Essenmacher, Roger (Pam) Essenmacher, Randy (Gerri) Essenmacher, Clark (Peggy) Essenmacher, Marsha (Frank) Chuhran, brother-in-law Charles (Irene) Holdwick, and many nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, David & Marian Essenmacher, husband Kenneth Holdwick, and brothers and sisters-in-law: Rita & Richard Warchuck, Ralph Holdwick, Norman (Jackie) Holdwick, and Gladys (Dan) Osantowski.
Karen A. Holdwick, age 79 of Harbor Beach, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Huron County Medical Care Facility. She was born on November 23, 1943 in Bad Axe to the late David and Marian (Stacer) Essenmacher. Karen and Kenneth Holdwick were united in marriage on August 4, 1962. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1996. Karen worked as a Medical Assistant at many Doctor's Offices over the years. She enjoyed helping everyone she could. Karen was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Ruth. She loved family gatherings, playing euchre, her grandchildren, the family woods and travelling on Caribbean Cruises.
