Funeral Information

Funeral Services for Elaine will be Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11 am at St. John Lutheran Church, Port Hope, with Rev. David Dodge officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation for Elaine will be at the church on Thursday, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Family of the Deceased

Elaine is survived by her brothers: Orville Eggert of Port Hope and Gary Eggert of Harbor Beach, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Witherspoon, brothers: Gordon and Stanley Eggert, brother-in-law Robert Witherspoon, and sister-in-law Jean Eggert.

Biography

Elaine Mae Eggert, age 82 of Harbor Beach, passed away on December 18, 2021 when the Lord her Savior called her home. She was born on December 23, 1938 to the late Hugo and Olga (Pleiness) Eggert in Bloomfield Township. She was confirmed on July 1, 1951 in Bloomfield Trinity Lutheran Church. She is now a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Port Hope. She attended Wade School for 8 years. Elaine was a graduate of Harbor Beach High School in 1955. She worked in places such as: Port Austin, Bad Axe, and Ubly at Hamill making seat belts. She enjoyed being with family and friends, going to church events, and loved baking, cooking, gardening flowers, her car and taking care of her cats.
