Biography

Debra Lynn Jurges (DeChane), 59, of Bad Axe passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region. She was born on June 28, 1961, in Bellflower, California to Harold and Kathleen DeChane. A member of the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church, Deb wore many hats in her lifetime. She was a manager, an Occupational Therapist, and she worked as an EMT. The hat she was proudest to wear though was that of Mother. Above all, Family was everything to Deb. Her idea of the perfect day was just to have all her family under one roof. She had a wicked sense of humor and always went out of her way to make sure everyone was included. You didn’t have to be blood to be a part of her family, and once you were in, there was no getting out. She leaves behind a great legacy and so much love.
