A celebration of life for Suzanne will be planned for a later date at the Old North State Club at Uwharrie Point. A gathering will be held for Suzanne and her late father John P. Rzyhak at the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde MI. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, from 3-8 pm and from 10:00 am on Wednesday morning at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Port Austin, MI until the funeral service for them at 11:00 am at. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of Stanley County or your favorite SPCA. Pack your bags Suz, its time for a new adventure

She was preceded in death by her father John P. Rzyhak. Suzanne is survived by her mother Genevieve F. Rzyhak of Midland MI. She leaves behind her husband and best friend Troy Winkelmann of New London NC, Sister Barbara Rzyhak and her companion Albert Shestokas of Clearwater FL., Brother John and his wife Mary Beth Bordeaux of Hemlock MI. and their son Beau Webb, her sister thru friendship Patty Gesner and of course her beloved Pomeranian “Chi-Chi”.

Biography

SUZANNE GENEVIEVE (RZYHAK) WINKELMANN, Age 61, passed away Monday March 26, 2018 at her home in New London, North Carolina surrounded by her family. She was born on March 14, 1957 in Detroit Michigan, the daughter of Genevieve F (Dudzik) Rzyhak of Midland Michigan and the late John P. Rzyhak. Suzanne and Troy Winkelmann were married September 16, 1986 in Ocho Rios Jamaica. After graduating from Port Austin High School and attending Michigan State University “Suzie” moved to Clearwater Florida. After becoming a flight attendant for Piedmont Airlines in 1989, Suzie and Troy relocated to Charlotte NC. Suzie was artsy. A love of painting, a way of transforming everything she touched into something beautiful, her talent was displayed in her many shops around town.Troy and her family wish to thank her many friends from the Uwharrie Point Community for the outpouring of love and support. A special thank you to Dr. Eric Mallico, Dr. William Brinkley and the entire staff of the Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. A special thank you to Debbie Kelton for being a wonderful friend. Suzie will be missed by so many. The lives she touched will never be the same. She loved to travel, loved to shop, never met a stranger, always quick with a hug.
