He is survived by his wife, Peggy Motley, of Bad Axe; his son, Matthew Motley and his wife, Dawn, of Livonia; his step-son, Lyn Tetreau and his wife, Shannon of Bad Axe; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; his mother, Joyce Motley of Brighton; his brothers, Ken Motley of Whitmore Lake, and Larry Motley and his wife, Carol of Pinckney; his sister, Diane Beckley and her husband, Rick of Whitmore Lake; brothers-in-law, Willard Louks and his wife, Charlotte of Indianapolis, Indiana and Bob Abraham and his wife, Sue of Bad Axe; sister-in-law, Judy Drabek of Bad Axe; and several nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his in-laws, Alfred and Wanda Louks; his brother in law, Bruce Drabek and his sister-in-law, Betty (Bill) Bardell.

Biography

David K. Motley, 61, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2018 at Huron Medical Center. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 22, 1956 to Joyce (Jones) and the late Herbert Motley. On August 29, 1998, he married Peggy Louks in Gaylord, Michigan. Dave worked at General Motors Powertrain, retiring after thirty years. He enjoyed watching old western movies, watching football and spending time with his dog, Jasmin.
