Funeral service for Barbara will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Sutton officiating. Burial will take place at Colfax Township Cemetery; pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel and at the church on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service. Barb is survived by her four children: Larry Henderson and his wife, Genny, of Bad Axe, Shelda Rea and her husband, Mike, of Cass City, Rodney Henderson and his wife, Sharon of Middleville, Michigan and Tyden “Ty†Henderson and his wife, Amy, of Pigeon; eleven grandchildren: Tim (Sandee) Henderson, Becky Henderson, Ted (Robyn) Henderson, Barbie (Jeff) Iagulli, John (Rachel) Rea, Andrea (Jeff) Vancamp, Will Henderson, Diana Henderson, Cortney (Kyle) Jekelek, Dustin (Danielle) Henderson and Christine Henderson; fifteen great-grandchildren: Noah, Jacob, Brandon, Moses, Paige, Aiden, Taylor, Shawn, Owen, Aubrey, Lincoln, Lizzy, Hannah, Rebecca and Vayl and two step-great grandchildren: Thomas and Andrew; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Edmund and James, and her two sisters, Flora and Mildred.
Barbara A. Henderson, 94, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2018 at Northwood Meadows Assisted Living in Cass City under Compassus Hospice care. Barbara was born in Applegate, Michigan on April 7, 1923 to the late William E. and Mary E. Paterson. On June 30, 1944, she married Wm. Harold Henderson in Sandusky, Michigan. He preceded her in death in August 2002. She owned and operated the Henderson Sales family business for thirty-five years. Barb attended the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church. She loved to travel to Florida for the winter, was an avid reader, enjoyed crafting, teaching Sunday school, entertaining others with dinner parties and spending time with her friends, church, and family, especially her grandchildren.
