Funeral services for Lois will be at 1 pm on Thursday, December 17th at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe with Jan Rapson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service. Lois is survived by her daughters: Deborah Ann (Mark) Lambert of Fraser, Michigan, and Sherry Lynn Rowlett (Schamante) of St. Clair Shores; sons Daniel Arthur Rowlett of Hazel Park and Timothy Carl (Deborah) Rowlett of Madison Heights; grandchildren: Christina Ann Schamante, Thomas Carl Schamante, Lindsey Ann Rowlett, Nicole Lynn Rowlett, and Jaclyn Marie Rowlett; great grandchildren: Shawna Kai-Lynn Andrich and Bella Elizabeth Schamante; brothers Bob Taylor and Duane Taylor; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Mildred (Bill) Azarovitz, Anita (Burt) Braun and Betty (Bill) Wolfe; and a sister in law, Lorraine Taylor.

Biography

Lois Jean Rowlett, 81, of Madison Heights, formerly of Meade Township passed away peacefully on December 14, 2015 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Lois was born in Meade Township on November 4, 1934 to the late Edward and Anna (Cox) Taylor. On December 18, 1954, Lois married Carl Arthur Rowlett in Detroit, Michigan. He preceded her in death in April 1998. Lois enjoyed ceramics, sewing, baking cookies around Christmas time and spending time with her family and friends.
