Funeral Information

Funeral Mass for Lillian will be Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:30 am at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Catholic Church in Hamtramck. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation for Lillian will be Friday, December 26, 2014 from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Saturday will be at the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11:30 am. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com

Family of the Deceased

Lillian is survived by her children: Anthony Zylinski of Port Hope, James Zylinski and his wife Lynn of Harper Woods, and Cynthia Manardo of Grosse Point Woods, 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son Leonard Zylinski and brother Edward Kowalczyk.

Biography

LILLIAN MARIE ZYLINSKI, age 87 of Port Hope, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. Lillian was born on May 3, 1927 in Detroit to the late Stefan & Walentyna (Kozlowski) Kowalczyk. She and Theodore Zylinski were united in marriage in September of 1946. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1996. She was politically active with the Democratic Party involving Jimmy Carter, on the Hamtramck Common Council in 1978, was an active member of the Our Lady Queen of Apostles Catholic Church in Hamtramck, a member of the church choir, was youth director for the Polish National Alliance, was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Port Hope AmVets Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, the Port Hope Sexy Senioritas, and the Harbor Beach Lioness Club.
