Mass of Christian burial will take place 11 am on Thursday, December 18th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Rob Howe presiding. Visitation will be 2 – 8 pm on Wednesday, December 17th at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe with scripture at 7 pm and from 10 – 11 am on Thursday, December 18th at the church. Shirley is survived by nine children: Raymond (Colleen)Leppek, Thomas (Valerie)Leppek, James (Tina) Leppek, Elizabeth Patterson, Angeline (Tony) Sikorski, Timothy (Denise) Leppek, Andrew (Patricia) Leppek, Susan (Shaun) Shuart and Mark (Elizabeth) Leppek; twenty two grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four brothers: Patrick (Vicki), George (Mary), Doug (Tammy) and Paul (Mary) Greyerbiehl; four sisters: Nancy (Henry) Janik, Patricia Grigg, Theresa (Philip) Provot; and Brenda (Thomas) Kreh; brother in law Ed Sweeney, sister in law Beverly Greyerbiehl, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Greyerbiehl and infant Thomas Greyerbiehl and by one sister, Janet Sweeney and son in law Brent Patterson.
Shirley Jane Leppek, 76, formerly of Bad Axe, passed away on December 15, 2014 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Shirley was born on April 9, 1938 to the late George and Helen (Hill) Greyerbiehl in Bad Axe. She married Raymond Donald Leppek on August 20, 1955 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. They were married for fifty one years before he passed away on September 21, 2006. Shirley was a devout Catholic, reading the Bible and prayed the rosary regularly. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, going for walks and loved reading. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
