Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Colfax Township, Bad Axe. Betty is survived by her sister, Emma "Marie" Langley of Bad Axe; sisters-in-law: Hildegard Reehl of Waxahachie, TX; Josephine Reehl of Bad Axe; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and their families. She is preceded in death by her sisters: Laura Rapson, Dorothy Goff, Ann Ziegelmann, Beatrice Baker, Beverly Reehl; brothers: Elger Reehl , John "Jack" Reehl, Martin Reehl.

Biography

Betty M. Scofield, 85, of Caro, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Timberline Lodge following a long illness. She was born September 24, 1928 in Bad Axe to Daniel Ernest and Ina Mae (Townley) Reehl. She married William E. Scofield May 31, 1952 in Toledo, OH. He died July 5, 2001. Betty was a woman of great faith. She was a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Oregon, OH and a member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Cass City. Betty donated her time generously collecting food donations from area businesses for the local soup kitchen to feed the homeless and needy in Oregon, OH. Betty and William loved their cockapoo Patches taking him with them everywhere
