Funeral Information

Visitation will from 1-9 p.m. on Wednesday be at the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde, and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Family of the Deceased

He is survived by his wife, Melissa, and their three children; Logan, Hannah and Aidan. Also surviving is his father, Terry Stirrett of Kinde; his in-laws Bob and Jan DePatty of Kinde; his brothers-in-law Jim (Rachel) DePatty and Mike DePatty, both of Kinde, and his nieces and nephews, Brandt DePatty, Ean Rospierski and Addison DePatty.. Further surviving are his uncles Lloyd (Chuck) and Karen Koroleski and their daughter, Holly and her fiancé, Roger Klomp of Saginaw; James (Karen) Koroleski of Kinde; his aunts, Janice (Gerald) Blatt of Brown City and their children, Jerry and Dawn Basch, Nancy (Bill) Bambach of Kinde and their children Max, Steve, Jeff, and Vonnie Bambach and Lisa Rowley; Faye Stirrett of Bad Axe and her son, Scott Stirrett; Gennie Stirrett of Bad Axe; and Bertha Jock of Bad Axe, and her children, Lynn Jock, Danetta Snow, Amy Herek, Lori Wisenbaugh, and Domanic Jock; Connie (Warren) Bacschmidt of Marlette and their children, Dan and BethAnn Russel; his step uncles, Tom Soper, Tim Soper, Terry Soper and Dale Soper; and his step aunts, Linda Wharton, Marilyn Soper and Patti Kautz; and several step-cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Koroleski Stirrett, and a sister, Sarrah Stirrett.

Biography

Christopher Terry Stirrett, 38, lifelong resident of Kinde passed away unexpectedly after a short illness. He was born on December 8, 1975 in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Terry and the late Joanne (Koroleski) Stirrett. He and Melissa DePatty were married on December 18, 1999 at the Kinde Presbyterian Church. Chris was a 1994 graduate of North Huron High School. It was in school that he met his wife, Melissa DePatty. They had just celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary Chris was a member of the Kinde Area Fire Department since 1993 and for the past year served as Chief. Chris earned his Paramedic license in 1999 and worked for Bay Medical Center, Community EMS, and Central Huron Ambulance Services. He served as coordinator of Central Huron since 2005. In addition to his volunteer work Chris was employed as a 911 Dispatcher for Huron County since August 2000. Emergency services was his life-long passion and it brought him immense joy to be able to live and work in this community.
