A gathering for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. MacAlpine Funeral Home, Bad Axe is handling the arrangements. Frances is survived by her children, Randy (Celine) Becking of Bad Axe and Anna (Tom) Goodman of Bay City; seven grandchildren, Patrick Soper, Erica Becking, Melissa Becking, Krista Becking, Charles Becking, Mike Becking and Frank (Jeni) Mayes; one great-grandchild, Carlyn Mayes; three sisters, Virginia Watchowski, Evelyn Peyerk and Sylvia (Chris) Bartolotta; one brother, Franklin (Shirley) Lackowski; sisters in-law, Edna Lackowski and Jeanette Lackowski. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Selma (George) Geiger, Rose (Martin) Collins, Theresa (Andy) Puvalowski; brothers, Ray (Gertie), Edward, Ervin, Cass (Fran), Walt (June) , Rich (Lottie) Lackowski; brothers in- law, Ernie Watchowski and Elmer Peyerk. We would like to acknowledge special thanks to the Huron County Medical Care Facility for the great care they provided her and countless others who assisted in her care and contributed to her well-being.
Frances A. Becking, 77, resident of Sheridan Township, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region, Bay City. She was born October 3, 1936 in Harbor Beach to the late Frank and Julia (Kucharczyk) Lackowski. Fran was united in marriage to Robert Becking on September 9, 1956. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2010. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bad Axe. Fran retired in 1996 from Citizen’s Federal after 29 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds. Fran liked playing bingo, visiting casinos and spending time with her family and friends.
