Huron Intermediate School District's Student Of The Month

The Huron Technical Center recently announced the Student of the Month recipient for November.
Brendan Pommerenke is the HATC Student of the Month for November 2025. He is a Senior at Harbor Beach and is a second-year student in the Huron Area Technical Center’s Visual Communication Program. He is the son of Dave Pommerenke and Liz Howison, of Harbor Beach.
Brendan is a gifted photographer with a personal desire to learn and push his skills at every turn. In Visual Communications he has stepped up to lead on various projects, helping coach 1st year students, and working up to a directors position with live productions done in class.
Brendan is also an entrepreneur having started his own multimedia company working for up-incoming basketball stars from around the country. His Visual Communication instructor, Casey Turner said, “Brendan was an easy choice for student of the month because he has stepped up to lead in my class this semester. He is a great coach with new students in photography and video production, always patient and encouraging. I see great things on the horizon for him.” Brendan is currently enrolled in a Part 107 Commercial Drone License course and is wanting to pursue his commercial drone certification this spring. His future plans are continuing his multimedia business while learning real estate and traveling the world.
He will be honored during a luncheon at the Main Street Cafe, located inside the Huron Area Technical Center, and receive a certificate of award.
