Kimberly Ann-Louise Durga Sentenced For False Pretenses

Kimberly Ann-Louise Durga was sentenced on Monday, October 20th, for charges related to false pretenses and writing checks with no checking account funds.

Durga admitted to writing bad checks during the holiday season, claiming she expected funds from a house remortgage but ultimately did not receive them.

The court sentenced her to 365 days in jail for one count, without credit for time served or probation. On the second count, she received 180 days in jail, also without credit for time served.

No restitution was ordered, as the affected party was already made whole.

However, Durga is responsible for associated fees, fines, and costs. The jail sentences are to run concurrently.?
