Driver Arrested After Fatal Saginaw Township Motorcycle Collision

Police say a 28 year old motorcyclist was killed Saturday on Bay Road in Saginaw Township after being struck by a vehicle turning into the Speedway gas station just south of Schust Road.

The victim, identified as Jacob Vargas, died from his injuries at the scene.

Investigators with the Saginaw Township Police Department arrested the driver of the vehicle, who they suspect may have been under the influence at the time of the crash.

Authorities have not yet released the driver's name pending arraignment.
