Elizabeth Powell, a home school student enrolled in the Huron Area Technical Center's Building Trades and Law Public Safety programs, has been named the Student of the Month for October 2025 in Bad Axe, MI.
Powell is recognized for her leadership, initiative, and high standards in her academic work, participating in SkillsUSA Michigan and the National Technical Honors Society.
She has completed OSHA-10 certification and is currently taking Introduction to Concrete at Alpena Community College.
Powell, who is assigned on-the-job training at Hessling Construction in Harbor Beach, plans to earn a black belt at Resolute Warrior Academy and join the military.
She will be honored at a luncheon and receive a certificate of award at the Main Street Cafe, located within the technical center.?
