Trial to Start on Child Sexually Abusive Material

A 24-year old Fairgrove man is scheduled to appear in Tuscola County Circuit Court for a jury trial at 8:30 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

James Arthur Goudie is facing 30 charges of criminal sexual conduct (CSC).

He is charged with: five counts of child sexually abusive activity/aggravated distributing and promoting, 10 counts child sexually abusive material-aggravated possession, and 15 counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

The alleged crimes against Goudie date back to 2024 when the Michigan State Police started investigating him for sharing sexual abusive child material on the internet.

During the investigation, digital evidence was reportedly found on Goudie's devices.

He remains lodged in the Tuscola County Jail on a $200,000 cash-surety bond.
