After more than two years of planning and renovations for additional space for county operations, the building at 171 North State St. (M-81) is ready to be used.
There will be a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and a Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS) training class from 8 a.m. to noon on Oct. 25.
After completing the class, the participants will earn a CPR/BLS Certificate. This is not a first aid training class.
The cost is $20 per person.

The former Peoples Bank building was purchased by developers Mark Ransford and Damian Wasik. They reconfigured to meet the deeds of the county for additional space.
The county is paying $30,000 a year to use the building.
The revamped building has offices for the information technology department, a training/multipurpose room, a conference room with an unassigned space that could be used as a courtroom if necessary.
The second floor will house the information technology's manager's office, an information technology conference room, an area for emergency management with two additional unassigned spaces for future growth, and more.
