Man Shoots Gun Near Saginaw Pub Staff Member's Head

A dispute over 50 cents at Steamers Riverfront Pub in Old Town Saginaw escalated to gunfire early Friday, Sept. 19, leading to the arrest of 24 year old Anthony E. Williams.

Police say Williams pointed a handgun at a staff member's head and fired two shots, narrowly missing him. Williams fled the scene with a woman but was located and arrested after witnesses provided descriptions.

Authorities recovered the firearm and a spent shell casing from the vehicle Williams used.

He faces charges of assault with intent to murder, which carries a potential life sentence, and felony firearm. Williams remains held on $250,000 bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 9th.
