A Huron County court has scheduled sentencing for September 11th for a man who admitted violating the terms of his probation.
Michael Andre LaChance appeared before Judge Ferris on a probation violation petition alleging he consumed alcohol on or about August 6th, 2026, and pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated 3rd offense, in Livingston County.
After being advised of his right to a probation violation hearing and his right to an attorney, LaChance chose to plead guilty to the probation violation.
While under oath, LaChance acknowledged consuming alcohol on August 6th and operating a motor vehicle afterward. He told the court he was arrested following an investigation and later pleaded guilty to the operating while intoxicated charge in Livingston County. LaChance also acknowledged that his probation prohibited him from possessing or consuming alcohol.
Judge Ferris accepted the probation violation plea after finding it was made knowingly and voluntarily.
Sentencing on the probation violation is scheduled for September 11th at 3:30 p.m. The court appointed Kyle O'Mara, who previously represented LaChance, to represent him at sentencing.
Bond was set at $3,500 with 10% required.
