The 158th Huron Community Fair is moving toward its final day in Bad Axe, after a busy week of agriculture, youth competition and grandstand events.

The fair officially opened Sunday and continues through Saturday, August 15th.

Among the week's early highlights was the crowning of Maleah Roth as the 2026 Michigan Bean Queen.

Monday night's Bump-N-Run brought a large crowd to the grandstands, while the carnival midway opened Tuesday, followed by tractor and truck pulling that evening.

Agriculture and youth competition have remained at the center of fair week, with 4-H and FFA exhibitors taking part in livestock shows and other events.

Thursday brought one of the week's biggest agricultural events - the Junior Livestock Association auction. The sale featured animals raised by local youth, along with the traditional Gallon of Milk sale.

ATV and UTV racing provided Thursday night's grandstand entertainment.

The fair continues Friday before wrapping up Saturday with another full day of activities. The 158th Huron Community Fair is scheduled to close Saturday night with the Super Kicker Rodeo at the grandstands.
