Huron County health officials have released the latest round of bathing beach water quality testing.

The Huron County Health Department collected samples on Tuesday, August 11, as part of its routine monitoring for E. coli bacteria at area swimming beaches.

For each location tested, three water samples are collected in water between three and six feet deep and combined into a composite result. Under the testing standard, that result cannot exceed 300 E. coli colonies per 100 milliliters of water.

The Health Department released the latest sampling information Wednesday, August 12. Anyone with questions about the beach monitoring program can contact the Huron County Health Department.
