During Tuesday's Huron County meeting, commissioners voted no to send letters out regarding the late notices from the clerk's office on being reimbursed funds for doing 2024 elections.
Sherman Township and the city of Harbor Beach have been the most vocal about not getting the information and forms from the November elections to be reimbursed.
During the meeting, Sherman Township Clerk Kathy Young asked for the $1,300 that was withheld from the township's delinquent tax revolving fund because the notice wasn't received in time for the township to comply.
During the meeting, commissioners voted no on sending out letters regarding that issue, but during the committee meeting that was held after the regular meeting, it was pointed out the board had only said no to the letter and not to the payment.
Because of that, the issue might not be moot.
