Purdy Road Closure Planned For Culvert Replacement

Drivers in Huron County should prepare for a temporary road closure next week as the Huron County Road Commission replaces a cross culvert on Purdy Road in Paris Township.

The project will take place between Verona Road and Maurer Road, with construction scheduled to begin August 17th and wrap up August 18th, weather permitting. Road Commission officials say the new culvert is designed to improve drainage and better protect the roadway for years to come.

During the project, Purdy Road will be closed to through traffic between Verona and Maurer roads. Motorists should plan to use alternate routes, although access to homes and businesses along the road will remain open throughout the construction period.
