All Lapeer County Ballot Issues Approved by Voters

During Tuesday's election in Lapeer County, all ballot requests were approved and incumbents retained their positions.

The county-wide senior millage renewal and increase passed with 11,721 yes vote to 8,963 no votes.

For the open seat for road commissioner that was on the ballot, incumbent Terry Jostock was able to retain his seat on the board from newcomer Les Nichols.

The Almont School District, the Davison School District and the Lakeville School District each had requests to levy the non-homestead statutory 18 mills that are required to receive state funding.

The ballot request from each district was approved by voters.

There were some other millages that also passed.

The North Branch Township library renewal passed.

Hadley Township fire and first responder millage increase passed.

Imlay City's street and sidewalk millage request passed, and the fire protection millage passed.

The Metamora Township police millage renewal and increase passed.

With more votes, Rick Gualdoni won the partial term as an Elba Township trustee over Brent Huggler.
