Elkton Updated Ordinances Prohibiting Cargo Containers

With the cost of building materials increasing, some homeowners have turned to alternatives that some municipalities are starting to prohibit.

In an effort to avoid the high cost of building, some homeowners have turned to using cargo containers for storage and even housing.

The village of Elkton is one of the communities that approved a zoning ordinance amendment to define the use of cargo containers in a residential district and to prohibit the use of cargo containers.
