Governor Rick Snyder has joined the call from President Donald Trump for all United State flags to be lowered to half-staff in observance of Memorial Day Monday, May 29th. Governor Snyder said, “On Memorial Day, let us remember and pay respect to the men and women who gave their lives serving our country. We are forever grateful for that sacrifice and will keep their families in our thoughts and prayers.” Michigan residents, businesses, schools, local governments, and other organizations are being encouraged to fly the flag at half-staff. On Memorial Day, the flag will remain at half-staff until noon. The flag will fly at full-staff from noon until sunset.
