A Sanilac County school received a bomb threat Monday. According to the Marlette Community Schools, a bomb threat was reported to have been written in a boy's bathroom at the Jr/Sr High School. The office was contacted about 30 minutes before the end of the school day. Police were called to the school and the school was evacuated. The Marlette Community Schools says to talk to your child about the importance of school safety and what can happen if you make a bomb threat. Students that make threats to school will face disciplinary action including prosecution and expulsion, the school said. If anyone has any information about the incident, contact the Marlette Police Department at 989-635-2008.
