Cass City Schools Want to Renew Resource Officer Agreement

The Cass City Village Council will meet a 6 p.m., on Monday, July 27, in the Municipal Building at 6506 Main Street (M-81)

According to the preliminary agenda, the council is expected to review a request for a memorandum of understanding with the Cass City School District about the village police department providing a resource officer to the school.

If the memorandum is approved, the employment term of the school resource officer will run from Aug. 18 to June 4, 2027.

The council is also expected to review a request to support allowing a new business to request a liquor license, and to approve a contract to allow some sidewalk replacement throughout the village.
