The Davison Community School District will ask voters to renew the standard operating millage during the August election.
The ballot issue is to levy the statutory rate of 18 mill for 10 years on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law.
The millage is necessary for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil funding from the state.
Approval of the issue would allow the district to levy the full 18 mills that was reduced by the Headlee Rollback to 17.7606 mills which reduced revenue.
If approved, the millage would generate about $5,487,162 the first year for the school's operation.
Although the school is primarily in Lapeer County, it also extends into Genesee County.
