During the Tuesday, Aug. 4 election, several townships in Sanilac County will ask voters to support a road millage.

Both millages are earmarked to be used only by the township to do improvements and upgrades to roads within the township.
In Bridgehampton Township, votes will be asked to renew 1 mill for five years for roads. If approved, that millage would generate about $38,000 the first year.
Voters will also be asked to approve a new 1 mill levy for five years for roads. If approved, that millage would generate about $38,000 the first year.
Both millages are earmarked to be used only for constructing, preserving, improving, repairing, and maintaining roads and bridges in the township.
Buel Township will ask voters to renew 1 mill for four years to roads. If approved, the millage would generate about $52,620 the first year.
It is an earmarked millage that can only be used to maintain the gravel roads within the township.
