Two Killed In Late-Night Saginaw Crash

Saginaw Police continue to investigate a single-vehicle crash that claimed the lives of two city residents late Sunday night.
Officers say the crash happened just before midnight at the intersection of South Washington and Gallagher Avenues, where a vehicle struck a utility pole before its engine compartment caught fire.
Firefighters extinguished the flames after arriving at the scene.
Police say the driver, 24 year old Aaliyah Olivarez of Saginaw, was taken to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries. A rear-seat passenger, 29 year old Brandon Vanwormer-Shepard of Saginaw, was pronounced dead at the scene.
