Ubly High School Agriscience And FFA Earn 22 Industry Certifications

Students in the Ubly High School Agriscience and FFA Program have earned 22 industry certifications following testing completed during the recent school year.
The certification exams, offered through Michigan State University Extension and the ICEV multimedia curriculum, allow students to earn industry-recognized credentials during their sophomore, junior, or senior year.
Among the certifications awarded, Griffin Messing earned a Michigan Pesticide Applicator License. Devin Geiger, Beckett Hagen, and Katie Sweeney received the BASF Plant Science Certification, while Sweeney also completed the Benz School of Floral Design Principles of Floral Design Certification.
Ella Gilliam earned the AMSA Food Safety and Science Certification, while Brianna Schmidt and Jordan Susalla completed the Center for Financial Responsibility Personal Financial Literacy Certification.
Maleah Roth and Jolene Mazure received the Elanco Fundamentals of Animal Science Certification.
The Ducks Unlimited Ecology, Conservation and Management Certification was awarded to John Fligger, Griffin Messing, and Madyson Schumacher.
Eight students - Carter Budzisz, Hunter Budzisz, Aliana Donnellon, Kennedy Messing, Abbygail Plester, Sarah Romzek, Laura Roth, and Gabriella Walsh - earned the Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications Certification.
School officials say the certifications provide students with career-ready credentials and practical skills that can benefit them in higher education and the agricultural workforce.
