Caseville Public School officials will ask voters to approve renewing 18 mills for eight years for district operations during the August election.

The proposal will allow the district to continue to levy the statutory millage rate on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law.

The millage is required for the school district to receive its per pupil foundation allowance.

If the proposal is approved, it will allow the district to levy the full 18 mills that Headlee rolled back that reduced revenue, and it will generate about $2,768,834 the first year.
