Lake Township and Lake Planning Commission to Meet

Lake Township Board of Trustees and the Lake Township Planning Commission will conduct a special joint meeting at 1 p.m., on Thursday, July 2.
The meeting, which will be at the township hall at 4988 West Kinde Rd., Caseville, is regarding a court case.
According to the preliminary agenda, the meeting is expected to be closed to consult with the township's attorney regarding settlement strategy in connection with pending litigation with Driftwood Lavender LLC for the case that is pending in United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
The business and the township have been at odds for several months over the business wanting to expand offerings and the township denying those requests.
