Besides the 10 highway projects that total over $7 million the Sanilac County Road Commission will also replace a bridge this season.
The commission will replace the bridge on Marlette Road at the Southern branch of the Cass River.
The cost to do that is $2,524,629, which is the most expensive project the commission will be doing this year.
The $7,887,195 for the roads and bridge project is being covered with funds from several sources.
Of that amount, the county's primary road millage of $3.3 million will be used, federal and state funding totaling $3,212,380 will be used along with the $1,364,815 weight and gas tax revenue the county receives from the state will be used also.
