Oregon Township to Pay for Attending Subcommittee Meetings

With all of the rules and regulations today, being a public servant requires a lot of time and effort to stay up to date and attend meetings.
Because of that the Oregon Township Board of Trustees approved a resolution to pay planning commission members who serve on a subcommittee per meeting.
It was decided that planning commission members who are appointed to and attend approved subcommittee meetings should be compensated at the same per-meeting rate as the regular planning commission meetings, unless otherwise specified by the township board.
Planning commission members who attend subcommittee meetings will be pay $65 per meeting unless otherwise specified by the board.
During the meeting, it was noted that the road subcommittee met with Muhammed Smidi from Congresswoman Lisa McLain's office regarding grants.
During the meeting, it was also noted that the planning commission met to confirm there were no amendments to the master plan necessary and the master plan remains effective through 2030.
