Police Investigating Fatal Shooting In Saginaw Monday Morning

Saginaw authorities are looking into a deadly shooting after a 31 year old man was found inside a vehicle on Fairfax Street Monday morning.
Officers responded to the 2000 block of Fairfax shortly before 9 a.m. and found the man in a red car that had come to rest against a tree. Despite emergency responders' efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators from the Saginaw Major Crimes Unit, which includes city police and Michigan State Police detectives, are handling the case.
The victim's name is being withheld pending family notification, and no information about a suspect or motive has been released.
Detective Sgt. Oscar Lopez said investigators are working to piece together what led to the shooting and urged anyone with details to contact Saginaw police at 989-759-1245 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
