A Sanilac County woman is facing serious drug charges following a traffic stop that led to the seizure of methamphetamine and crack cocaine.
Authorities say the incident happened April second in Watertown Township, where deputies initiated a stop that quickly turned into a drug investigation. According to the Sanilac County Drug Task Force, officers recovered approximately thirty-seven grams of methamphetamine and nine grams of crack cocaine during the encounter.
A thirty-five-year-old woman was taken into custody at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was cited and released.
Investigators say the arrest is part of an ongoing effort to disrupt drug trafficking in the region, and additional charges or arrests could follow as the case develops.
The suspect remains lodged in the Sanilac County Jail pending further court proceedings.
