A two-vehicle crash was reported just after midnight on March 26th in Huron County's Sheridan Township.
According to the Huron County Sheriff traffic crash report, the incident occurred around 12:09 a.m. on M-53, a non-freeway straight roadway that was dark and unlighted at the time.
Authorities say a 2016 silver pickup truck was attempting to make a left turn onto a side road when it was struck by another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The collision occurred as the turning vehicle entered the path of oncoming traffic.
The driver of the pickup, a 25-year-old male, was not reported to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Safety equipment was in use, and airbags deployed during the crash.
No fatalities were reported. Injuries were described as non-life-threatening, though emergency responders did assist at the scene.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed. The roadway remained open while the crash was investigated.
