Jamar Brewer Sentenced To 365 Days In County Jail

Huron County - Jamar Brewer was sentenced today in circuit court, by Judge Prill, to 365 days in county jail for absconding, receiving credit for 13 days previously served.

The court ordered a $130 crime victims assessment, $200 in state costs, and $200 in court costs, with attorney fees waived. This sentence will run concurrently with a prior 2 year probation.

Brewer's attorney had requested a sentence below the guideline range of 10 to 23 months, citing his mother's medical condition and the need to address pending battery charges in Nevada.

The court noted Brewer violated bond conditions by leaving Michigan without approval and subsequently faced charges in Las Vegas.

An arraignment for the Nevada charges is scheduled for November 25, 2026.
