Carsonville Port Sanilac Schools Has a New TEAMS Deputy

Sanilac County's Drug Task Force selected Deputy Matt Washe as the new TEAMS drug awareness instructor for the Carsonville-Port Sanilac School District.

He was approved by the district's board of education during the March meeting.

The "Team Awareness" program is a prevention program designed to recognize and address behavioral risks, reduce problem drinking and drug use, and improve mental health.

Washe is very familiar with the district because he attended that school as a student.

The cost of the TEAMS program is being paid for by some of the Sanilac County Drug Task Force millage funds.

The next board of education meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, in the library.
