The Akron Township Board of Trustees approved the 2026-2027 budget and some road work.

Revenue was estimated to be $1,141,990 and expense of $1,127,640 was projected.

To go along with that, some financial adjustments were made to close out the 2025-2026 budget as part of transitioning to the next fiscal year.

In other money matters, approval was given to spend $22,230 for two brining applications on gravel road to control dust, and to spend $10,100 to expand the parking lot.

Regarding finances, only one road project was approved because there were questions regarding others.

Approval was given to do a double chip and seal on one mile of Gotham Road from Thomas Road to Ringle Road for $60,552.

The board discussed two other proposed road projects, but because there were questions on the bids no action was taken.
