Some repairs were approved for the village of Ubly's Police Department Building.
During the last village meeting, the council approved replacing the outside steel and spraying foam insulation throughout the entire building.
The total cost of doing that work is $52,000.
Issues with the police office were first discussed in September 2025. At that time, it was noted there were ants in the department that had to be dealt with, and that some rusting was happening to the building.
Police Chief Anthony Woods presented the council with two preliminary estimates back then regarding repairing the building.
One option that was suggested was for replacing rusted areas on the building, and the other was removing and replacing all the steel and wrapping the entire building.
