2 Vehicle Collision In Sanilac County Under Investigation

Authorities say a collision happened just after 1 p.m. Monday afternoon on Marlette Road near Watson Road in Marlette Township, after a 911 call reported the incident.

Investigators say a pickup truck towing a trailer, driven by a 47-year-old man from Caro, was heading westbound and turned left into a private driveway, crossing into the path of an oncoming SUV.

The SUV, driven by a 79-year-old woman from Clifford, struck the turning vehicle. She was treated at the scene and later taken to a local hospital for further care.

Emergency crews from the sheriff's office, Marlette Police, fire, and EMS all responded. Officials say the crash remains under investigation, and names of those involved have not been released.
